“The race to protect our citizens against Human Trafficking is on!”
HARRISBURG – Focusing on the mutual priorities of prevention, rescue, and restoration, Sen. Cris Dush (R-25), will travel from the PA Capitol to the vicinity of Rouzerville, PA to welcome and cheer on Zoe International’s Race Across America Cycling Team.
WHAT: Starting in Oceanside, California, Race Across America (RAAM) is one of the toughest endurance challenges in the world, spanning more than 3,000 miles, climbing three mountain ranges, crossing 13 states, and finishing on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
WHO: Team ZOE International is riding coast to coast to raise awareness, funding and support for children trapped in human trafficking.
“The race to protect our citizens against Human Trafficking is on!,” said Dush concisely summarizing the legislative intent for welcoming Team Zoe International to Central Pennsylvania.
As the prime sponsor of Senate Bill 44, which was unanimously advanced and signed into law (Act 39 of 2023) to ensure sexually exploited child human trafficking victims always have full access to necessary services and support, Dush is continuing to shepherd several high-priority, bipartisan, anti-human trafficking initiatives during the 2025-26 legislative session.
A retired law enforcement officer, he was also instrumental in securing dedicated 2024-25 state budget funding to establish the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Section.
WHEN: Friday, June 20, cyclists are currently scheduled to arrive in Rouzerville between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
WHERE: RAAM Time Station 50. The route travels along Route 16 (Main Street, Rouzerville).
