Dush Encourages Eligible Voters to Contact County Election Boards for Direct Voter Registration Assistance

HARRISBURG – With the Oct. 21 voter registration deadline rapidly approaching, Pennsylvania Senate State Government Committee Chairman Sen. Cris Dush (R-25) is reminding eligible voters to contact their county elections office with any questions related to voter registration confirmation, election dates, polling place locations and other election-related information.

“Honest, transparent and secure elections remain the cornerstone of our constitutional republic,” said Dush. “Pennsylvania’s elections are run by the commonwealth’s 67 county boards of elections, as such they are the number one local resource to contact for direct voter registration assistance, including what to do if you receive ‘election documents’ in the mail that you did not request.”

Please note: if you are not a United States citizen and a resident of Pennsylvania at least 30 days before the election, you cannot register to vote.

“Although every election definitely matters, our electoral process cannot effectively function without the support and full participation of ‘We the People,’” emphasized Dush. “If you’re a qualified elector already registered to vote—or soon will be—it is your responsibility to carefully research the individuals and policy platforms of those seeking office. Finally, take a few minutes—twice a year—to vote for those you find worthy.”
